As essential oils evaporate and atomize, residue gradually builds up on the inner walls and atomizing disc. This accumulation can restrict airflow and reduce mist output, but it doesn't indicate a malfunction—it's a normal part of regular use that requires periodic maintenance.

What to Do:

If you notice reduced mist production or weakened fragrance after extended use, the diffuser likely needs cleaning rather than repair. A thorough cleaning will restore full functionality by removing oil buildup from the internal components.

Prevention:

  • Clean your diffuser every 2-3 weeks with regular use
  • Rotate between different essential oils to prevent heavy buildup
  • Use high-quality, pure essential oils without additives

  2. Fill the tank with isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher)
  3. Run the diffuser for 10 minutes, gently pressing the mist outlet periodically to help dislodge buildup
  4. Remove the atomizing disc and shake it several times to release trapped residue
  5. Pour out the alcohol and rinse thoroughly with clean water
  6. Allow all components to air dry completely before refilling with fresh water and essential oils

Maintenance Tips:

  • Perform this deep clean every 2-3 weeks with regular use
